Avonmore Estate is a family owned and operated 300 acre farm. Situated in Central Victoria in the Bendigo / Heathcote Region. 


Avonmore produces Angus Beef, Prime Lambs, Premium Grapes and Award Winning Red Wines.

For over 15 years the entire Estate has been Certified Grade A “DEMETER” BIODYNAMIC, with the BIODYNAMIC RESEARCH INSTITUTE at Powelltown Victoria. Biodynamic practices ensures the entire property is self-sustaining and farmed naturally without the use of chemicals and artificial fertilisers or synthetic pesticides, fungicides, weedicides or non natural materials.

In 1996 we planted our 25 acre Vineyard of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese & Viognier.

The Vineyard

Avonmore is a Boutique Winery, specialising in Premium Award Winning Red Wines, Full Bodied, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc & Sangiovese.

We strongly believe our wines are made in the Vineyard, by investing more time in visual observation of the health and natural development of the wine, using environmentally friendly, eco-safe, BIODYNAMIC methods, which activate and nurture both the soil and the vine.

Vineyard receives minimal irrigation, so as not to push the vine, this results in low yields, of small intense berries, hand picked, traditional winemaking, little intervention, fruit driven wines, minimal preservative (SO2/Sulphur), Vegetarian Suitable, Cellaring 5/7 years.
